STRONG WOODY TONES
Tanglewood's Roadster II Parlour acoustic is as much an ode to their love of craftsmanship as it is their love of musicianship. Using sustainably gathered tonewoods, Tanglewood has created a sophisticated and tonally rich acoustic. Utilising Canadian Red Cedar and Indonesian Mahogany they have engineered a sleek, clean look with simple but elegant lines.
The Canadian Cedar top compliments the Mahogany back and side, the cedar providing more vibrant middle tones against the mahoganies fuller, deeper sonic tonality. The Roadster II Parlour is lightly decorated with a subtle Green Abalone rosette that breaks up the clean and simple natural satin finish of the Cedar top. Tanglewood's drive to be a sustainable company has led it to use innovative materials in some of its guitars. The neck is comprised of Mahogany and an Eboncore fingerboard which is a composite material used instead of the now protected Rosewood.
A LOADED SIX STRING
The Roadster II Parlour comes loaded with Tanglewood's TW-EX4. This is an EQ and discrete pickup that allows you to go live through an amp or PA. Create more accurate recordings or simply practise at a fuller volume. You have volume control married with high, mid & low sliding EQ. The TW-EX4 also has a built-in chromatic tuner and battery indicator to tell you when it is time to change the battery.
IT’S ALL ABOUT THE SONGS
The Roadster II is a stripped down raw acoustic, with little by way of distraction. Equipped with phosphor bronze acoustic guitar strings, Tanglewood want you playing and writing as soon as you take the Roadster out of the box. With simple flourishes like the black walnut bride and ABS nut, die-cast chrome tuners or simple black or white side binding, the Roadster II is a serious acoustic that wants to be played. The price reflects its fine craftmanship and clever choice of hardware, making it accessible to beginners and more advanced players alike.
